Leaving here as a Note to our readers: The historic red Tram is running again. It was out of Service, but as of November 30th, 2023 it is operating under the "Winter Timetable". The tram leaves Sintra town centre every day at 10:20 AM and 2:00 PM towards "Praia das Maçãs" beach. For the return trip, ask the conductor about the Stop and time. During weekends you buy the tickets with the tram conductor. If you plan on a tour during the week, then you need to buy the tickets ahead of time at the following address: VILA ALDA - Casa do Eléctrico at Rua Gen. Alves Roçadas 2, 2710-720 Sintra.
