Brief Description: Summer residence of Sir Francis Cook and his family. The Monserrate Palace showcases a captivating blend of architectural styles, prominently influenced by Romanticism, Mudéjar Moorish Revival, and neo-Gothic elements.

Year Built: 1863 (build on previous structures from 1540 and 1789

Highlights: UNESCO World Heritage Site. One of the most sophisticated Parks in all of Sintra. Botanic areas resemble complete continents, with the largest collection of cactuses from Arizona, New Mexico all the way to Japanese Bamboo embedded in a romantic Zen Garden. Amazing glass-stained main dome, Gothic room, Arab room and lavishly decorated rooms.
